1. Who we are
ApplyReady is operated by Tanitapps Corp, 3790 A Colorado Ave, Boulder, CO 80303, United States (“Tanitapps,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you use ApplyReady. For privacy requests, write to the address in Section 8.
2. Information we collect
- Account information, including name, date of birth, email address, sign-in method, and account and plan status. Passwords are stored as password hashes, not as the original password.
- Information you provide for job-search coaching, including resume files (PDF or DOCX), extracted resume text, your professional profile, experience, skills, accomplishments, job-search answers, location and radius preferences, salary target, job descriptions, application details, generated materials, and status updates. We retain extracted resume text for coaching, not the uploaded file itself.
- AI provider preferences, model names, and API keys you choose to provide. API keys are encrypted at rest and are not returned to your browser.
- AI-consent records, including the selected provider and model, policy version, data categories, and consent time.
- Short-lived login security records containing keyed email hashes and failed-attempt timestamps, used to limit repeated password failures.
- Subscription identifiers and billing status from Stripe. Card and payment details are handled by Stripe; Tanitapps does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Information you choose to include in a support request or forum post, and technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as request and error logs maintained by our hosting or infrastructure providers.
3. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide the job-search and application features you request, save your profile and application history, remember the date of birth you provide as account information, process subscriptions, moderate the community forum, respond to support requests, maintain and improve the service, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. Date of birth is not included in professional profiles or sent to AI providers.
4. AI processing and your consent
If you explicitly consent to AI-guided onboarding, your extracted resume text, job-search answers, and coaching messages are sent to the provider and model you selected to generate coaching and a proposed professional profile. Your date of birth is not sent. ApplyReady does not save the onboarding chat transcript; it saves the profile after you review and confirm it. If you separately consent before preparing an application pack, your confirmed profile, job description, and any additional role-specific details you provide are sent to your selected provider to generate the requested assessment and materials. We record consent details in your account. Each provider processes submitted information under its own terms; review the provider's current privacy and data-retention information before consenting.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We share information with providers only as needed to operate features: Google Cloud Run for application hosting; Supabase for the PostgreSQL database; Stripe for subscriptions and payment management; your selected AI provider for AI features after your consent; OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to suggest U.S. cities when you search for a location; Google or LinkedIn when you choose those sign-in methods; and Google Fonts for website typography. These providers may process information under their own privacy terms and in locations that depend on their services and configuration. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Retention and security
We keep account and application information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. You may request account closure and deletion by writing to the address below. We will take reasonable steps to verify your request and delete or de-identify information we are not required or permitted to retain. Some information may remain in backups or provider systems for a limited period under their normal retention cycles. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or object to certain uses of your personal information. To make a request, identify the account email and the right you wish to exercise; we may ask for information needed to verify your identity. We will respond as required by applicable law. You may withdraw consent to future AI processing by not submitting an AI request; this does not change processing that already occurred. You can also clear local browser storage and manage cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children, changes, and contact
ApplyReady is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date.
